Qualifications
I have been a family historian for twenty years and through my own family background have a comprehensive knowledge of the Worcestershire, Warwickshire area.
Services
I visit both Worcester & Warwick County Record Offices and also the Birmingham Local Studies and Archives situated in Birmingham Library. So have access to the parish registers and census (1841-1901) for all these areas.
Through my visits to Smethwick Library and Dudley Archives I therefore also have access to certain parts of Staffordshire i.e. Smethwick, Oldbury, Rowley Regis, Tipton, Wednesbury, West Bromwich, Sedgley, Kinswinford, And others in the boroughs of Sandwell and Dudley.
Other local records which are available to me are -
- Electoral Registers, Kelly's Directories, Newspapers,
- Cemetery Indexes, Wills (years vary according to the relevant CRO).
- In fact - 'If a document exists, I will try to find it'.
In addition to this I also have access to the national 1881 & 1901 Census, GRO Indexes and IGI's, and National Wills Index from 1853-1972

No job is too small. I will undertake the research of whole families to short look-ups.
But please bear in mind that it is difficult, probably impossible, to put an estimate on family history research, as all families are different. Some are easier to trace than others, depending on their locality and movements. And registers and census records differ emmensely in size so this will affect the time it takes to go through one compared to another.
What I usually suggest is an initial payment and see how things progress. Then you can decide if you want to continue with another batch.
Please to request additional information.
