Genealogy Research

QualificationsI have been a family historian for over twenty years and through my own family background have a comprehensive knowledge of the Worcestershire, Warwickshire area. I have written many articles for genealogy magazines and a book specifically relating to family and local history in Worcestershire. I also give talks on genealogy and history subjects to local groups and societies. ServicesI visit both the Worcester County Record Office and the Worcester Family History Centre as well as Warwick County Record Office and Birmingham Archives and Library so have access to all registers, records, books and documents available for these areas. These include parish registers, Poor Law records, Quarter Sessions, newspapers, wills, directories, electoral registers and many more. In fact 'if I document exists I will try to find it'. There are also a few national records available to me such as the GRO indexes, the census (1841-1911), the IGI and the National Wills Index up to 1972. FeesPlease contact me for details of my charges. No job is too small. I will undertake the research of whole families to short look-ups. But please bear in mind that it is difficult, probably impossible, to put an estimate on family history research, as all families are different. Some are easier to trace than others, depending on their locality and movements. And registers and census records differ emmensely in size so this will affect the time it takes to go through one compared to another. What I usually suggest is an initial payment and see how things progress. Then you can decide if you want to continue with another batch. Please Email to request additional information.
