You may ask for an email transcript of your certificate(s) to be sent to you before they are posted - the fee is $2 per certificate. Apart from the advantage of speed, this also provides for an experienced interpretation of hard to read details.
Transcripts and certificates are available only for dates after 1 Jul 1837.

Payment terms:
- New Zealand clients: payment is due immediately upon receipt of my Acknowledgement and should be made by cheque or Money Order made payable to Tony FitzGerald only. Your remittance and a stamped, self-addressed envelope should be attached to a copy of the email Acknowledgement that will be sent to you shortly after your Order has been received.
Delivery:
- Orders are emailed to the London Agent as received If you have ordered an email transcript, this will be emailed to you as soon as the Certificate is received by my Agent. All certificates are posted by her on the same day as received from GRO and you may expect to receive them about 7 days later. Currently, the time lapse between GRO receiving an order to its delivery to my Agent is about 5 days.
Special Notes: (Important - please read - bold highlighting inserted for easy reference)
- Checking points: Orders may include checking points (eg. spouse or parent names). You are advised to use this facility with care - the smallest variation in a spelling on the Certificate will cause it to be rejected and you may be left wondering whether it was, after all, the correct certificate.
- Orders should not be placed for events prior to 1 Jul 1837.
- Birth Certificates within the last 50 years require full details of both parents, date of birth and place of birth in order for the General Register Office to issue the certificate.
- Certificates cannot be viewed before purchase.
- Index checks: The full GRO reference details must be provided before the order can be actioned ... i.e. Year; Quarter of the year; Registration District; Volume; and Page. An extra charge of $2.00NZ applies if you wish the reference you have provided to be checked ... this is recommended particularly where the fiche / film is difficult to read.
- It is most important that the details supplied comply exactly with what appears on the indexes without addition, deletion or abbreviation. To do otherwise risks the expense of having your Application rejected by the Registrar's Office.
- Marriages - if you wish to specify the spouse name please do so in the "Comments' box" - do not use a separate line on the Order Form for the bride and groom.
- Overseas indexes. Index references will not fit into spaces provided - please enter full details under "Comments". Index check fee will be rebated if full index details are provided.
- If 1984 or later. Index references will not fit into spaces provided - please enter full details under "Comments". Index check fee will be rebated if full index details are provided.
- Refunds
- These are made in the form of a Credit Note which may used on subsequent re-ordering.
- If a Certificate is not issued, you will be entitled to a refund of $12.
- If the entry cannot be found, you will be entitled to a refund of $10
