Qualifications

I have been researching in genealogy since 1997, when I completed my own family history research. I offer friendly and expert advice. I am a member of both the Northumberland and Durham family History Society and the Yorkshire Archaeological Society. I completed a two year course in family history services in 2001.

Services

I have access to the 1841/1881 censuses of Great Britain on CD together with full details of the British Isles Vital Records Index. I hold copies of parish registers of births, marriages and burials of Yorkshire from 1558 to 1724, and have access to microfiche dating back to 1837 for the British Isles. I endeavour to make it possible to trace every family that is requested of me at reasonable rates with a prompt, reliable and conscientious service.

Fees

Rates of £12 per hour for searching purposes, plus postage and photocopying of documents.
