Since my early retirement from teaching some years ago, I have become a genealogist and record agent with several years experience.

Scotland

• Research, Transcription and Copies at the Scotland’s People Visitors Centre, including Births, Marriages and Deaths, Census and Old Parish Records
• Research, Transcription and Copies at the National Archives of Scotland, including Kirk Sessions, Sasines, Wills, Court Cases, Adoption Records, Divorce Records

England

• The National Archives at Kew for wills until 1858, Military Records of all kinds, Assize records, Pension Records, Estate Duty Registers, Divorce Records
• The London Metropolitan Archives for London Old Parish Records, School Records, Hospital Records and Board of Guardians (Poor Law Records)
• The Society of Genealogists for Old Parish Records for many parishes in England, Wales and Ireland
• The British Library for India Office Records including Ecclesiastical Records and Indian Army Records and general historical enquiries
• The Probate Registry for wills after 1858
