QualificationsFamily History Tracers was established by Phil Smith, M.Ed, BA, and Lin Smith, BA. We have many years of genealogy experience. We offer a personalised and confidential genealogy service. We cover all areas of the country having access to the census material from 1841-1911. Our specialist area is the North of England, and we have done extensive research in the northern counties using the Tyne and Wear Archives, and the records offices for Northumberland, Durham, North and West Yorkshire, Cumbria and Lancashire, as well as the special collection data in University of Durham Library. ServicesFamily History Tracers will undertake all kinds of research, from compiling a full family tree to searching the records for one census entry. All local Northern archives can be accessed, but research in other counties can be requested. We pride ourselves on our personal service which is carried out thoroughly, enthusiastically and with commitment. Clients can be assured of personal attention at a competitive hourly rate, no work is undertaken without prior agreement about cost, you set the limits, and we will keep you informed as work progresses. The above fees are inclusive of: Travel to and from Record Offices in Northumberland and Durham (extra charges would be incurred for travel to Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire Records Offices); Postage, packing and telephone costs; A computer generated Family Tree and genealogical report. Some clients
may wish to have only a few parish look-ups or copies of census material.
