Eneclann Ltd. has a team of experienced genealogists and historians. It was founded by history graduates of Trinity College Dublin. Fiona Fitzsimons, one of the directors, is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists of Ireland.

The General Register Office:

  • Official records of births, marriages and deaths from 1864 (and non-Catholic marriages from 1845)

The National Archives:

  • All census returns from 1901 and 1911 (and fragments of earlier censuses).
  • Griffith's Valuation (land survey, 1848-64), and some surveyors' books.
  • The Tithe Applotment (1823-38 survey).
  • Estate records.
  • Most surviving Irish wills.
  • Government papers.
  • Royal Irish Constabulary Records.

The National Library:

  • Roman Catholic parish registers.
  • Estate records.
  • Other miscellaneous collections.

The Representative Church Body Library:

  • Parish registers and other papers relating to the Church of Ireland.

The Valuation Office:

  • Information on house occupation dating back to the 1860s.

Trinity College Library:

  • Student records dating back to the 16th century.
  • Copyright library of books published in the UK and Ireland.
  • Miscellaneous collections of papers.

Registry of Deeds:

  • Records of freehold land transactions dating back to 1708.

Fees:

Eneclann conducts an initial assessment service for US$20 / IR£16 / STG£14. On the basis of the information sent by the client, we make recommendations for proceeding with the search and quote for undertaking it ourselves.
