Qualifications

Over 10 years of genealogy and family history research experience. British born and living in Canada for the past 3 years I have a B.A. (Hons) and a Diploma in Modern Social History Research. I have access to many kinds of records including the British census, civil registration indexes, parish registers, wills, Boyd's Marriage Indexes and WWI & II records. I have a high success rate in establishing family trees and finding 'lost' ancestors.

Services

I offer a wide range of genealogical services depending on your needs. Perhaps you have already started your family tree and are stuck because you don't know where to go next. Or perhaps you haven't started yet because you don't know how. Whatever the reason, I can help.

I offer various services and packages from a single record search or look-up, to a detailed report covering many generations or several lineages and including details of your ancestor's life and family. I can also research the history of the village or town where you ancestors lived. Please contact me for details.

Please remember every research project is different depending on:

• How commonly found the surnames are.
• Whether your ancestors lived in small towns or villages or were 'lost' in larger towns and cities.
• The ease with which the registrations (or corresponding Parish Records) of births, marriages and deaths can be located

Gift Idea - Do you have a relative whom you just can't decide on a birthday or Christmas gift for? Why not create a unique gift that is personalised just for them - their family tree. You can do one or two small branches, or you can commission an entire family tree with all of the branches.

Fees

Costs will depend on the countries involved and the level of research to be carried out. Please contact me to discuss your needs.

My hourly rate is $20.00 (CDN$) per hour with certified copies of birth, marriage, and death certificates, if required, supplied at cost ($20.00 CDN$)

I recommend clients purchase a 4 hour minimum package to start. This is usually enough time to identify the first couple of generations and produce a written report of the findings. It can also indicate the likely cost of further research. You do not have to pay any money in advance.

Payment can be made via cheque or money order in Canadian Dollars, US dollars or Pounds sterling. I also accept payment via PayPal.
