Qualifications

Hire me and benefit from 16 years of experience doing genealogy research in the libraries, cemeteries, courthouses and archives of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, Alabama and Pennsylvania; tracing some families back to the original American settlers.

Each research project is designed around your family history goals. Are you documenting your lineage for an application to an organization such as the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution? Are you curious about where your ancestors lived and what their lives were like? Is there an old family story about an ancestor that you think might be true - but just don't know? Let's fine out!! We begin with a conversation about your family tree and the info you have already collected and/or family members have told you.

At the end of each research session, you will receive a detailed report on the progress made, resources accessed and outline for future research ideas if needed. You have complete control over the focus of the research and the amount of money spent. Start Today!

I am experienced in researching families all over North Carolina. I am a founding member of the East Coast Allred Family Association, a genealogy organization based in Randolph County. The ECAFA specializes in locating, identifying and recording abandoned cemeteries in central North Carolina - helping everyone find those ancestors who have been literally lost in time. I am also a member, officer and one of the lead researchers for the Allred Family Organization (www.allredfamily.com). I have researched in libraries, cemeteries, courthouses and archives in Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, Alabama and Pennsylvania but prefer North Carolina's State Archives, tracing some families back to the original American settlers.
